The 2014-2015 Hockey Season is almost here. I have made a few changes to the length of the season. Instead of having separate fall and winter seasons I have combined the two into one long winter season. The season will begin in September and will run through March. We will be offering a Wednesday Night League as well as a Sunday Morning League. Wednesday Nights will begin September 10th and end on April 18th 2015. Game times will be at 7:40pm & 8:50pm. The cost will be split into 3 payments of $174 for a total season cost of $522. There will be 29 games in total. Sunday Mornings will begin September 28th and run through March 29th 2015. Game times will be 10:20am & 11:30am. The cost will be split into 3 payments of $162 for a season total of $486, a total of 27 games. Playoff games will be included into this years leagues.
Individuals will be placed on teams. I will do my best to balance the teams in order to ensure parity among the teams and also allow friends to be able to play together whenever possible. Teams will consist of no more than 11 players per team. Shirts will be given out at the beginning of the season and will need to be returned at the end of the
season. Team and individual standings will be kept and posted online after each game. The schedule for the season will be posted on line as well. Goalies are always needed and are allowed to play free of charge.
Players are welcome to sign up for both leagues if they would like. Players will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. “New” players who are already part of a team and would like to enter their entire team into the league will also be accepted. Trades during the season may need to be made in order to ensure parity.
Our Saturday morning skills clinic will also be offered again this season and will begin Saturday September 20th at 10:40am and run through May. The clinic is based on a weekly walk-on basis at a cost of $20 per player. The skills clinic will be geared toward improving each players basic skills such as skating, passing, and puck control as well as team aspects including but not limited to breakouts, team fore checking and defensive coverage. Full equipment is required.
