The fall hockey season is almost upon us. Thank you to everyone who participated in the summer hockey league. It was so nice to see a bunch of new faces this season. It was also really great to see everyone spreading the word about the league and bringing their friends to join in. The more we can spread the word the stronger the league will become. As we grow it will be easier to define the levels of play and create strong competition for everyone at every skill level.

We have some changes for the upcoming fall season. I have tried several different ways to run the league and over the years I have learned that some ways go more smoothly than others. So what I have come up with for the fall season will be very similar to the summer season. I just think the way the summer was run created a more competitive game each week. So I would like to try it for the fall season and see how it goes. If it doesnít work out than I can always change it up for the winter season. The seasons will also be shortened into four different seasons in order to accommodate more people.

Having said that, the number of players who sign up may change the way in which the league will be put together. So we will have to wait to see what the numbers look like before I finalize any decisions.

The fall season will consist of a Wednesday Night League with games at 7:40pm & 8:50pm and a Sunday Morning League with games at 10:20am & 11:30am. Wednesday Nights will begin September 9th and run until December 30th 2015. Sunday Mornings will begin September 20th and run until December 27th 2015. A winter league will follow.

We will no longer be offering a skills clinic on Saturday mornings. Which is a little sad because it was a lot of fun, a great workout, and a valuable learning experience. But the numbers just werenít there on a consistent basis to make it last. Thatís not to say that it may not return in the future, but as for this year we wonít be offering it.

Applications will be available on-line as well as in the main office. If anyone has any questions please let me know. I really appreciate everyone spreading the word about the leagues and hope you will keep recruiting players!! Itís the fastest way to grow and to create the unbelievable hockey bond that you have all created.

Donít forget about our 6th Annual Thanksgiving Morning Turkey Skate!!! More info to follow.

If anyone has any questions please let me know.
